A TOWN council was left 'shocked' over graffiti found at Haverigg shelters.

Millom Town Council used social media to report the incident yesterday, Sunday (May 26).

It explains that the maintenance team painted the wall on Saturday to remove the graffiti but found on the morning of Sunday that it had been graffitied again.

A spokesperson said: "Millom Town Council are trying hard to keep areas clean and tidy and it is shocked that this behaviour continues to rear its ugly head again.

Cumbria Police have registered the incident as number 95 and are requesting residents with information to report it.

A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: "Anyone with info is urged to report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit quoting the incident number. You can also phone on 101.
