A school in Furness has launched a public appeal as it attempts to repair its roof.
Askam Village School, located on Lots Road, made the fundraiser public on Wednesday, May 22.
Staff at the school are hoping that the local community can rally behind them as they try to bring in at least £5000 to cover the expected costs.
A spokesperson said: "Our lovely school is over 100 years old and requires constant maintenance.
"In recent years the condition of the roof has deteriorated and is in need of further repairs.
"With tighter budgets and restrictions, we need the help of the community to fund it."
With the fundraiser still in its infancy, there is still plenty of time to show your support and help the school at a difficult time.
