TICKETS are live for a scenic train journey through a Lake District valley offering a complementary gin tasting.
The 'Spirit of the Lakes' journey will take visitors through the Eskdale Valley.
Passengers will be welcomed to Ravenglass station with a complimentary Gin and mixer drink, before departing on their journey towards Dalegarth on 'La'al Ratty'.
Upon arrival at Dalegarth station, guests will be welcomed inside to discover the history surrounding their guest hosts, Lanty Slee and sample some of their award-winning spirits.
Lanty Slee is an award-winning liquor company operating out of the Langdale Valley with historic ties to the area.
Samples provided on this tasting journey will include:
- 'Fell Dew' Vodka - Produced using Cumbrian potatoes and water from the fells of Langdale.
- 'Wrynose Rum' - named after the mountain pass that Lanty navigated to transport his illicit liquor.
- 'Langdale Dry Gin' - Produced in copper pot stills using their Fell Dew as the base.
- 'Moss Rigg Single Malt' - Already having achieved a silver award at the Global Whiskey Masters, this single malt is only going to get better with age!
Tapas plates can be pre-booked along with tickets to enjoy at Dalegarth Station.
