The revival of a 1990s play at a theatre in Bowness-on-Windermere is earning rave reviews.
Olivier award winning playwright, Alan Ayckbourn’s production, Things We Do For Love, is currently at the Old Laundry Theatre.
The production written and directed by the playwright, runs from May 17 to June 1.
Things We Do For Love chronicles a woman's affair with her best friend's fiancé which takes a violent turn.
People are encouraged to 'help keep theatre alive' by purchasing tickets to see the 'hilariously funny play' which features a cast of four.
The tale of forbidden desires follows Barbara, a 'head-strong' woman living alone in her 'male-free, child-free flat'.
Widower Gilbert rents the basement and Barbara's old school friend and her fiancé move in upstairs, taking everyone's lives in an unexpected direction.
Past productions of the West End comedy included performances by Natalie Imbruglia and Belinda Lang.
Tickets are available on the theatre's website.
