A CAR has been seized by the police for having no tax and no MOT.
The car was spotted yesterday evening (Tuesday, May 21)
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: "Road safety has been identified as a priority in the Furness area."
Drivers caught driving a car with no MOT can be fined a maximum of £1,000.
If a driver uses an untaxed vehicle on a public road without a SORN, which officially registers a vehicle as off the road, the penalty is either £1,000 or five times the amount of tax chargeable.
