NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two establishments in Barrow, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Stollers Furniture World, a cafe or canteen at Walney Road was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 11. This means that the standards found at the time of the inspection were generally satisfactory. 

The areas of inspection such as the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and the building were found to be 'generally satisfactory'. The management of food safety was of a 'good' standard.

Lees Chinese Take Away, a takeaway at 45 Ainslie Street, was also given a score of three on April 11, meaning that the standards found at the time of the inspection were generally satisfactory.

The areas of inspection such as the hygienic food handling and the management of the food were found to be 'generally satisfactory'. The cleanliness and condition of facilities and the building were of a 'good' standard.
