Attention all plant lovers, Barrow is hosting a fun day of planting on Thursday May 23.
Barrow Business Improvement District has teamed up with Westmorland and Furness Council to host an event to ‘spruce up’ the town centre.
Help bring summer to the streets by hanging baskets of beautiful greenery, filling tubs of colourful flowers and brightening up the borders with a host of plants.
A Barrow BID spokesman said: “We need your help to make it happen.
“No experience necessary, just bring your enthusiasm! We'll provide all the materials and guidance you need to fill a beautiful hanging basket or planter. Plus, it's a great opportunity to meet new people and make a positive impact in our community.”
The ‘plant party’ is open to everyone including individuals, local businesses, local schools and community groups.
Anyone who wants to take part can join the team at Barrow Town Hall where they will be meeting at 10am.
There will also be free refreshments provided for all participants, including cake and coffee.
