A MAN has been sentenced for causing another member of the public to feel harassment, alarm or distress.
Paul Lackey, of Ramsden Street Barrow, admitted at the first opportunity that he had used threatening, abusive words or behaviour towards the complainant on April 3 this year.
The 58-year-old also admitted he was guilty of recklessly damaging a bus seat to the value of £200 belonging to KT’S Coaches.
At South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on May 16, Lackey received a 12-month community order as punishment for the offences.
As part of the order, he was required to complete 40 hours of unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay £200 in compensation for the damage he caused to the bus seat, as well as £85 in court costs.
