Millom will continue to be served by the same mayor after she earned re-election earlier this week.
Councillor Simone Faulkner was confirmed in the position following the Annual General Meeting of Millom Town Council on Wednesday night.
This will allow her to carry on with and build upon her work in the community.
The council also shared that the Mayor would be supported by Councillor Joan Kellett as Deputy Mayor after her successful election.
Councillor Faulkner was first introduced to the council back in 2019 and has since gone on to become a highly regarded supporter and campaigner for groups and charities in the local area.
At the same meeting, it was also confirmed that Councillor Ged McGrath was re-elected for the post of Chair of Millom Town Council.
