Get ready for a roaring good time as Barrow’s popular and long-awaited Dino Day returns for 2024.
This weekend the town centre will transform as dinosaurs take over the streets and bring the Jurassic period to life.
Join hundreds of dinosaur lovers for a day filled with thrilling displays, plenty of great activities to enjoy and endless family fun.
The event, organised by Barrow Business Improvement District, is making a grand return on Saturday, May 18 from 10am to 4pm.
Dalton Road will be taken over by two of the most fearsome dinosaurs from the prehistoric era - Dilophosaurus and Spinosaurus. You can come face-to-face with these incredible creatures and witness them in all their glory with hourly displays between 11am and 2pm.
Dive into the excitement and take a trip to Dr. Bones’ Dinosaur Hatchery nestled on the corner of Dalton Road and Scott Street Junction.
Join Dr. Bones for an engaging and informative session where you'll experience the awe of recently hatched dinosaurs. There will be hourly talks running from 10:15am to 2:15pm.
Follow the Dino Day Trail and collect stamps from five different locations to be in with the chance of winning an amazing prize.
The stamp card trail will take you to Ranger Training, Dr Bones Dinosaur Hatchery, Sweets Aplenty, The Entertainer, and Fossil Making. There is also a sixth, bonus ‘Barrow Buzz’ location where you can claim a special Dino Trail Treat.
Collect all the stamps and hand it in to be entered into a prize draw for a bundle of Dinosaur-related toys.
Head to the Main Dino Arena at the Town Square for an epic adventure with mighty T-Rex and Triceratops.
Watch these awe-inspiring giants of the prehistoric era come to life before your eyes, round up your friends and family for an unforgettable experience at this year's Dino Day.
A thrilling performance will see these dangerous dinosaurs roam the Town Square at 10:30am and 12:30pm.
Don't miss the grand finale at 3.30pm, when all the dinosaurs in Barrow will gather for a mesmerizing spectacle you won't want to miss.
