A charity based in Barrow is celebrating 10 years of helping autistic people across Cumbria.
Autus Cumbria will reach the landmark milestone in June, marking the special occasion with various events over the course of 2024.
The first of these will take place on Saturday, June 22 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm, with the charity working alongside local businesses Shed One of Ulverston and Lost in the Apothecary to host a 'Pamper Afternoon' fundraiser.
Spaces are £20 each with all proceeds going towards supporting local autistic people and their families.
Autus Cumbria is a not-for-profit organisation that focuses its efforts on assisting local autistic kids and adults, largely through providing social groups, trips, one-to-one support, and training.
Over the past 10 years, they have also aimed to change public perceptions around autism through talks with parents, carers, teachers, and other professionals.
