A life-saving defibrillator has been donated to a popular park in Ulverston.
Accountancy firm JF Hornby & Co provided the device to Ford Park through its Have a Heart campaign launched in February.
It pledged to fund four pieces of the life-saving equipment for £5,000.
Due to high demand, managing director Paul Hornby decided to double the pledge to eight defibrillators.
Sam Ronson, park director of Ford Park, said: “Ford Park welcomes thousands of unique visitors every year from dog walkers and Park Runners to families and event-goers.
“This generous donation of defibrillator equipment will help us to ensure the safety of these visitors and we’re very grateful to JF Hornby’s for working with Ford Park to deliver this lifesaving equipment.
“We will now aim to have the defibrillator installed and accessible as soon as possible to help protect our community 24/7.”
The campaign is part of JF Hornby & Co’s wider efforts to positively impact the communities it serves.
A second defibrillator is set to be installed on Roa Island next week.
Locations for the remaining defibrillators can be nominated by contacting the team at jfh@jfhornby.com.
Mr Hornby said: "The success of JF Hornby & Co is built on the custom of businesses that operate in the communities we serve.
"It’s my view that we have a duty to do what we can to benefit the towns and villages in the Furness Peninsula.
"They are the places that we call home and we want them to be as vibrant, successful and safe as possible.”
