The Mayor of Ulverston shared the boon of a year's worth of fundraising with charities this week.
On Monday, councillor Michelle Scrogham met with representatives of the community groups she had chosen to back across the past 12 months.
This took place at Ulverston Town Council's annual meeting giving the mayor the chance to share her gratitude for the groups as well as earning some of her own.
The recipients were CancerCare, Community Solutions, the Air Cadets, Every Life Matters, North West Blood Bikes, Ulverston Foodbank, the Second Ulverston Scouts, and Twinkle for Heather.
Alasdair Wilkinson-Marsh, Director of Community Solutions Ulverston and organiser of Ulverston Pride Festival, also attended the evening as a guest speaker highlighting the importance of extra funding to organisations such as these.
