People in Milnthorpe will get to experience the talents of a 'guitarist extraordinaire' this weekend.
Yorkshire-born Kit Holmes will be playing at the Heron Theatre in Beetham on Saturday, May 18, accompanied by Al Greenwood.
In the past, she has played at Bill Bryson and Andy Kershaw's honorary doctoral ceremony at the University of Leeds, and she was also asked to give a masterclass at Paul McCartney‘s LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts).
Kit has released four albums which feature the legendary double bass player Danny Thompson.
Organisers at the theatre said that people should expect an 'enthralling and energetic' live performance of 'blues-driven roots with a soul sensibility'.
To book tickets which are £15 or £12 for Heron members, you can visit the website here.
