A school in Barrow has earned a new, glowing hygiene rating after its latest inspection.
Greengate Junior School shared the news on Friday, May 10 that it had been given a five star rating by the Food Standards Agency.
The school, found on Greengate Street, praised the members of staff whose work has made this latest recognition possible.
A spokesperson commented: "Congratulations to our fantastic catering team on their five star rating.
"Thank you so much for all of your hard work."
The rating is the highest an establishment can achieve, and ensures that the team have provided a thorough HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) plan, maintains staff training, keeps the kitchen 'spotless', stores food properly, follows regulations, and always looking out for how they can improve.
