A TOWN centre takeaway has been given a new food hygiene rating.
Hot Potato, a takeaway at 10 William Street, in Barrow, was given the score of four out of five after assessment on April 4, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
The establishment was inspected by the local authority Westmorland and Furness which gave it the establishment a 'Good' rating.
Ratings can go from 0 to five depending on standards found by the inspector on the day.
The areas inspected are the hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety.
It means that of Westmorland and Furness's 223 takeaways with ratings, 149 (67%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
