A school in Barrow is hoping that a splash of colour will help bring in lots of money.
Newbarns Primary and Nursery School is holding its first colour run on Friday, May 17 to raise funds for its 'brilliant' school.
Pupils will run laps of the school field whilst being dowsed 'from head to toe' by their teachers in colourful powder, with parents invited to watch the spectacle unfold - although they were warned that they might get caught in the crossfire.
A spokesperson from the school commented: "We hope that everyone is able to participate in this event as we are hoping it will be a huge success.
"We hope to raise lots of money for our brilliant school through sponsorship for this exciting event."
Nursery and Reception pupils will be taking part in their own 'Bubble Fun Run' so as not to miss out.
