'Mystical' caves in the Lake District have been named among the most beautiful areas in the UK by the travel magazine Time Out.
They called on "our network of expert travel writers" to compile the definite list of the top 15 most beautiful areas, and Oxford, quite rightly, was named.
According to Time Out: "These guys have personally experienced the pinch-me moment of seeing every place on this list IRL – so we can guarantee you there is no catfishing going on here."
Catfishing in the Lake District? No chance. Even Time Out conceded there were 'plenty' of spots to choose from in Cumbria.
Echo and trill ...

A few mornings ago we came off our fell-top camp via Rydal Caves. When Harriet started singing, a wren joined in. Such a small thing, but a big impact. Here's a snippet, in honour of the tiny wren, who punches well above its weight with its mega-decibel call. pic.twitter.com/G1MgRrNee3

Rydal Caves, Lake District
Time Out's travel writers had this to say: "While there are plenty of beauty spots throughout the Lake District, none feel as mystical as Rydal Caves.

"Located between Grasmere and Ambleside, they’re the perfect place to visit if you don’t feel like a lengthy hike, with a car park just a 15-minute walk away. The caves themselves are dramatic, with an almost mirroring effect from the water.
"Carefully wander across the stepping stones to the dry areas near the back of the cave to truly appreciate the beauty of the caves. It's little wonder that Netflix's The Witcher chose to film here for their second season.
Time Out tip: Once you arrive back in Ambleside, head to the Ambleside Tap Yard for a wide range of locally brewed pints and delicious pizza.
