FORMER Cruiserweight World Champion Jonny Nelson MBE will visit Ulverston for a weekend in May.
Nelson will be discussing 'all things boxing' at the Red Rose at 6.30pm on Saturday, May 25, and then lead an training master class the next day at Titan Training Gym.
He competed as a professional boxer from 1986 to 2005, and held the World Boxing Organisation cruiserweight title from 1999 to 2006 making him the longest reigning cruiserweight world champion of all time.
Nelson transitioned into boxing punditry after his professional career, often speaking on Sky Sports.
Tickets cost £45 for an individual ticket and £400 for a table of 10 at The Red Rose. The ticket price includes access to 'Johnny's career insights, a Q&A session, a professional photo with Johnny and a memorabilia auction' according to the billing.
For the boxing seminar, which will be from 9am to 10.30am, tickets cost £50 per person.
