Engineering solutions business, Forth, is opening up a senior position to join its booming Barrow operation, amidst its ongoing expansion plans.
Now in its 25th year, Forth creates bespoke answers to industry challenges, including within the nuclear, oil and gas, and renewables sectors.
Forth recently established Forth Fabrications, assisting BAE Systems’ submarine division in addition to other industries across the region.
The company's first Barrow facility was opened five years ago and is now on the look out for an experienced individual with the technical capability to support the senior leadership team.
In addition to its base in Barrow, Forth operates from Maryport and Cleator Moor, presenting a candidate with the opportunity to contribute to its diverse projects.
The company's managing director, Mark Telford said: "Forth’s success and the thriving industries in Cumbria - at both BAE Systems and Sellafield Ltd and their supply chains - means we can offer exciting opportunities right across our business.
“This individual will have the vision to see how all our expertise across all our operations, which serve a diverse range of industries, best come together to further enhance our high quality of service to our clients.
“We want to create an environment where the team can feel fulfilled by being a part of something bigger than the nine-five, seeking out opportunities that put Forth at the heart of the community.
“There’s no shying away from the fact that working for an SME is hard work, but there are people who enjoy and thrive on the challenges we face and solve.
“Businesses like ours are unlikely to suit those who want to work for the big corporate organisations. That probably wouldn’t be the right fit for them or for us.
“But there are plenty of people out there with the capability, the attitude and the mindset which is perfectly aligned to the opportunities we offer, and which fit the culture of a dynamic SME business.
“Those are the people who will help drive businesses like Forth forward and we are excited about what the future holds with so much opportunity in the supply chain across Cumbria.
"We have a rare opportunity to come into the business at a senior level and be based within our Barrow team.
“We are also recruiting for a financial controller in West Cumbria among many other career opportunities, as the business continues to go from strength to strength.”
Forth's operations manager in Barrow, Rob Sneesby, aims for Forth to become the go-to company for engineering solutions.
He said: "We want to be the first name on people’s lips when they think about engineering solutions, fabrication, mechanical testing and installation and be the first company they come to for solving engineering problems.
“On the back of the government’s Barrow Transformation Fund announcement, the region will continue to thrive as a hub for engineering solutions, and we want the right candidate in place to be a part of these exciting times.”
Forth recently bagged the Best Community Involvement award at the In-Cumbria business awards.
Mr Telford said: “As well as delivering effective solutions, we strive to make a difference in all the communities where we operate and are very proud to have received a range of awards and recognition for our community involvement work.
