The Fisherbeck Hotel in Ambleside has closed permanently.
Described as a scenic, four star B&B, The Fisherbeck was advertised as the perfect place to stay and explore the Lake District.
The 17th century hotel on Lake Road belongs to a private company called YATSON & CO LTD.
We were contacted by several people who had bookings and showed up to find it was closed.
Upon inquiring into the hotel’s status, The Fisherbeck spokesman said: “Sadly we are closed permanently. Feel sorry for the inconvenience caused.”
