A number of visitors to the Lake District over the Bank Holiday will be going home with more than they bargained for.
Westmorland and Furness Council shared on Saturday that their Civil Enforcement Officers were busy handing out fines for bad parking in the region.
One of the key examples they used was a particular spot in Elterwater Village, with cars left in a restricted spot.
A spokesperson from the council said: "Emergency services, farmers, buses and residents still require access to these areas - if gaps are too small, vehicles may struggle to navigate through.
"We are asking everyone to please park responsibly and adhere to the restrictions that are in place - they are there for a reason, please be kind and park with others in mind."
