THE police said that they have received 'numerous complaints' around parking outside The Old Smithy Fish and Chips shop in Roose.
The fish and chip shop is on the junction between Holebeck Road and Leece Lane.
There are double yellow markings around the chippy which the police said 'prohibits waiting at any time.'
A Cumbria Police spokesperson said: "Police have received numerous complaints of dangerous and inconsiderate parking in the area of Old Smithy Chippy.
"Highways are currently looking into long term preventative measures to ensure the safety of the public."
