A primary school in Barrow has launched a new award to celebrate good behaviour amongst its pupils.
Greengate Junior School was shining a spotlight on the first children to earn the 'Greengate Values' award on Monday.
A spokesperson from the school said: "This award will be given out weekly to those children who consistently show our Greengate values: 'Ready, Responsible, Safe'.
"They [the winners] are ready for school and ready for lessons, always polite and try their best, and are safe around school and online - we are very proud of them all!"

The values which dictate the award have also recently caught the eye of local residents, after a new mural was created at the school to celebrate the same ideals and messages.
