A MOTORIST has been convicted of failing to provide a specimen of breath for police.
Jon Beckman refused to give a sample to officers having been suspected of drink driving in Barrow on December 2.
The 39-year-old denied the offence and faced trial at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court.
The bench of magistrates found him guilty of the offence.
Beckman, of Barrow's Island Road, was fined £865 by the court and banned for a year.
He was also ordered to pay a £346 victim surcharge and £300 in costs.
