A new SPAR store is set to open in Bowness this summer, creating up to 45 job opportunities for the community.
The store's features will include a Graham Eyes butchers, Clayton Park deli, Cheeky Coffee machine, and a comprehensive selection of convenience goods.
Additionally, familiar big-name brands will be available at competitive prices, catering to the community and the many tourists of the Lake District.
For drivers, the Shell forecourt will host four fuel pumps, an air and water machine, an ATM, and customer parking.
To fill the new roles, a recruitment day is taking place on April 25 between 12pm and 7pm at The Ladyholme Centre in Bowness-on-Windermere.
Interested parties are encouraged to email recruitment@jameshall.co.uk to book a timeslot.
Attendees will have the chance to learn more about the new SPAR store, engage with the recruitment team at James Hall & Co. Ltd – the store's owners – and meet the new store manager, Chris Warriner.
James Watt, area manager for James Hall & Co. Ltd, said: "Excitement is building ahead of our summer launch for SPAR Bowness and we are looking forward to opening.
"True to SPAR’s brand pillars of Value on Your Doorstep, Passionate About Local, and Nurture Our Neighbourhoods, our Store Manager Chris cannot wait to get started and lead a dedicated team to deliver the very best convenience offer.
"Our recruitment team have been working hard ahead of launch, and the recruitment day is the perfect opportunity to meet them.
"We have applicants lined up already with pre-arranged slots for interview and there will be opportunities for people to walk in as well."
