A church in Dalton has been given the chance to install new life-saving equipment on its premises.
Following work from Councillor Dave Taylor, of Westmorland and Furness Council, Dalton Community Church will soon be installing a defibrillator.
This will be made available to all residents in the area, providing a crucial resource whenever an emergency arises.
Training is now set to be conducted at the church, ensuring that as many people as possible are well-equipped to use the defibrillator when called upon.
This session will take place on Saturday, April 20 from 2pm, combining an AED course with added CPR training.
Those wanted to get involved are asked to contact the church via their Facebook page so that they can estimate how many people will be turning up on the day.
