Two friends from Dalton proved the wait was worth it as they finally got to complete their charity skydive.
Samantha Campbell and Kieran McDaid have been raising money for St Mary's Hospice, based in Ulverston, and were originally looking to take to the air back in October.

However, with the Cumbria weather proving to be a worthy adversary, the jump was only able to take place last weekend on Saturday, March 30.
Sam said: "St Mary's is very close to our heart as they have helped family members and friends over the years, so they are a worthy cause for everything they do.
"We came up with this idea because we were talking about Kieran learning to fly and then I said I wouldn't mind skydiving - then it just went from there really."
The hospice is the dedicated provider in south Cumbria of comprehensive specialised supportive and palliative care for people with life-limiting conditions.
Their facilities and services are available to all adults who are facing the end of life, and to their families, carers and the bereaved.
The fundraiser was set up by Kieran's wife Louise, and is still looking to reach its £1,000 target.
Being the landlords of the Clarence Pub in Dalton, Kieran and Louise were able to combine the skydive with other events as they used their role in the community to bring in money for a number of local causes.
Louise added: "It was a fantastic weekend of fundraising and the totals will soon be announced for St Mary's Hospice, Dalton Community Action, and Sprouty Racing #27."
One of the other events taking place over the weekend was an inter-pub karaoke night with The Clarence teaming up with The Wellington Hotel, The Newton, and Dalton Cricket Club for a night of competitive entertainment.
