A MAN has been remanded into custody over alleged child sexual offences.

Aaron Holden has been charged with two counts of attempting to engage in sexual communications with children under the age of 16.

Court documents detail one of the charges relates to alleged sexual conversations with a 12-year-old boy between January 11 – January 23 this year.  

Holden is also said to have asked another child under the age of 16 to perform an oral sex act on March 15.

Both charges relate to the defendant attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child for his own sexual gratification.

The 33-year-old, of Goldsmith Street, is also charged with making indecent images of a child between January 1 2023 – January 23 2024.

He was remanded into custody by magistrates at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on March 27 ahead of his plea and trial preparation hearing at Preston Crown Court on April 24.
