Donald Campbell's daughter has thanked the people responsible for the Bluebird K7's return to Coniston.

To mark one week since its arrival at the Ruskin Museum, Gina Campbell got comfortable in the cockpit of the legendary vessel.

She took the opportunity to thank the hundreds of people involved in managing its return after so many years.

Gina said: "I don’t know how to thank the many people in all walks of life who have made this possible.

"Today is their day, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart - the boat is now in its spiritual home, and we look forward to the future."

Donald Campbell was fatally injured in the boat on Coniston Water in January 1967 while attempting the world water speed record.
