Barrow AFC has unveiled plans for a full day of family disco entertainment.
The Barrow AFC Family Disco, scheduled for June 8 at the SO Legal Stadium, is set to feature a diverse line-up of local dance troupes, bands, and DJs, and will be headlined by Brutus Gold's Love Train.
The Love Train, now entering its 33rd year, is an immersive, interactive party of disco action with enough charm to make the hardest audience 'don a wig and do the hustle'.
Over the years, the Love Train has showcased its talent at festivals in Switzerland, Dubai, and Italy.
They have even entertained high-profile individuals such as Tina Turner, Ben Stiller, and Owen Wilson at exclusive private parties.
Rachel Warburton, events manager said: "We are thrilled to bring the Barrow AFC Family Disco to our community.
"This event is designed to be a fantastic event for families to come together, enjoy incredible music, and create lasting memories."
The festivities extend beyond the musical performances, with a range of activities and attractions suitable for all ages promising to keep the crowd entertained throughout the day.
The party intends to convert the SO Legal Stadium into a vibrant dance hub with street food stalls, giant games for children, ice creams, and bars with refreshing beverages.
The Love Train is 'the worlds longest running interactive 1970s disco show' featuring a 'cavalcade' of disco throwbacks, featuring Chad Valley, Disco Dick, Clarence Hamilton Jnr, Willis Hardy Freeman, Virginia Slim, Camp David, Ana Glypta, Polly Ester, Patric Duvet, Inger Soll, Diskojak and the 'incomparable' Brutus Gold.
The event will run from 3pm to 10pm, and tickets are available now from: https://barrowafc.seatlab.com
