Two cute puppies, currently in the care of Animal Rescue Cumbria, are looking for loving homes.

The Mail:

Dinki and Dixie are both seven week old Australian Cattle Dog crossbreeds. They were put up for rehoming on Friday February 23.

The shelter said these two ‘gorgeous girls’ are nearly ready to go to individual forever families.

Dinki and Dixie are both described as ‘very happy, confident girls’ who could live with children and other animals, if introduced correctly.

Due to their breed, both pups will need a very active lifestyle when they are fully grown.

Australian Cattle Dogs are high energy and very intelligent so Dinki and Dixie will each need a family who can stimulate them mentally, as well as physically.

Animal Rescue Cumbria said these types of dogs are often great at working or playing a sport, such as flyball or agility.

The charity said to note that, at the moment, Dinki and Dixie are far too young for excessive exercise. At this stage in their life, they are still growing and will need to be introduced to exercise lightly, with a gradual increase in activity over a period of time.

Animal Rescue Cumbria said: “These little pups will need to continue their socialisation to the world and will need to start basic training. They will also need a secure garden to explore in!”

If you think you could offer Dinki or Dixie the forever home that they deserve, please fill out an adoption enquiry form, putting as much information about yourself, your experience and your previous pets, as possible. And don’t forget to state which pup you are interested in on your enquiry form.
