The literary influence of Morecambe Bay and Furness is to be highlighted through an upcoming event.
The talk will take place over Zoom on Tuesday, February 27 at 7:00pm, with tickets costing £3.
Organised by Morecambe Bay Partnership, it will be the last of their 'Sunset Series' of talks for the current season and will be led by Sarah Hymas, a local author.
The evening will present extracts from travel writing, poems, fiction and memoirs, to reveal how the Bay has been seen through the eyes of writers over the past two centuries.
Sarah will share the favourite pieces, chosen by herself and others, that capture the 'varied lights of the Bay, from uncanny to beautiful, eternal to renewing, dark to fresh'.
The money raised will go directly to projects supporting the people, places and nature of Morecambe Bay.
