A man has died following a two-vehicle crash on the A590 near Newby Bridge.
Police were contacted shortly before 3.30pm yesterday (21 January) with a report of a collision between a white Suzuki Alto and a coach.
The driver of the Suzuki Alto, a 41-year-old man from Kendal, was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other reported injuries.
The A590 was closed between Meathop and Newby Bridge until shortly after midnight this morning (22 January).
