A MAN alleged to have been driving whilst over twice the legal limit on New Year’s Eve, is to appear in court.
William Cleece, of Yarlside Road in Barrow, is said to have been driving his BMW i4 when he was stopped by police on Yarlside Road.
The 39-year-old is said to have given a lowest reading of 71 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – consuming too much alcohol to drive legally.
The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
He will indicate whether he is guilty or not guilty to the drink driving charge at South Cumbria Magistrates Court on January 22.
