A SECTION of a road is set to close for council works.
Westmorland and Furness Council made a temporary traffic regulation order to enable Westmorland and Furness Highways to carry out highway works.
A section of Greenbank Lane near Cartmel will be closed while works are carried out. This is anticipated to start on January 23 and take up to two days to complete.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and made available via the U5178, C5053, and C5040.
