A SECTION of the A592 at Kirkstone Pass has been closed both ways due to a broken down lorry.
According to the Cumbria Police traffic website, the A592 is 'both ways closed' from Kirkstone Pass (Troutbeck) to Hartsop turn-off (Hartsop). It said that 'traffic is coping well.'
Westmorland and Furness Highways put an update on social media: "The A592 is CLOSED due to a stuck lorry between Kirkstone Pass and Brothers Water.
"Our Penrith gritting team were treating the route this morning and came across the lorry in difficulty."
The HIghways team promised to post an update when the road is reopened.
