Last year the town centre came alive with a variety of events that were so successful they will be making a return for 2024.
Below, we've listed five of the most exciting events coming to Barrow for 2024.
Soapbox Derby
The creativity and engineering skills of local businesses and go-kart enthusiasts are being called upon for this year's Soapbox Derby.
The event gives the public the chance to race a kart of their own making down the soapbox track to compete for the fastest time
Entries are now open so now is the time to get your team together and start building.

Dino Day
Barrow will be transported back to the Jurassic period again this year as Dino Day has been confirmed for 2024.
Organised in conjunction with Bigfoot Events, the event last year proved very popular with all ages.
This year will prove to be bigger and better with new dinosaurs promised that the town has never seen before.
The day will have arenas for both big and medium-sized dinosaurs, movie showings at the Forum Theatre, a Dr Bones Dinosaur Hatchery on Dalton Road, ranger training as well as a big finale.
The dinosaurs will be conquering the town centre on May 18.
Under-5s Orchestra Concert
The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will be visiting Barrow over the next three years for what they say will be a stunning selection of show-stopping performances and inspirational music-making projects.
Under-5s Concert: Party Time is a music event specially designed for under-5s.
Presenter Claire Henry and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra musicians will lead the children in dancing, silliness and party games.
The party will take place at Barrow Library on March 27.
Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children.
Circus Spectacular
Shone Productions Ltd return to the Forum Theatre with their fabulous Circus Spectacular.
The event features international circus acts, amazing magic and lots of laughs.
The top-class artists will bring skill and suspense to their acts but will also all be participating in the production numbers and comedy aspects of the show.
The variety show culminates in one ‘slosh’ style finale, but not to panic as the first four rows shall be provided with rain macs.
The event will take place on February 16 at 3pm. Tickets are £17 (£15.50 conc + booking fee) with family offers available.
The Festival of Transport
The FOT24 is open to all types of vehicles, from vintage classic cars and motorcycles to modern performance and custom cars.
In previous years, there have also been boats, steam wagons, hovercrafts and jet engines.
The event will take place on July 2024. If you would like to showcase your vehicle, visit the Festival of Transport's website to fill in the online form.
