POLICE arrested a man after they claimed he 'completely disregarded a road closure' and blew over the drink-drive limit.
South Lakes Police were dealing with a crash at Bannerigg near Windermere in the early hours of today (January 15).
An officer described the incident on the police's Facebook page.
He said: "Officers dealing with a road traffic collision (RTC) at Bannerigg were concerned when one motorist completely disregarded a road closure whilst officers and recovery agents worked to recover a vehicle.
"Matters were made worse for him when said officers requested a specimen of breath, suspecting impairment. He blew above the legal limit and is now on his way to Kendal custody suite."
