The Barrow Male Voice Choir extends an open invitation to interested men for a Taster Evening.
Irrespective of previous singing experience, the event serves to offer a taste of choir singing with a popular and long-established group.
Musical Director Deborah Milledge has prepared a line-up of songs to be performed throughout the night.
Participants will learn fundamental techniques and vocal warm-ups, along with a demonstration on creating harmonies - a distinctive feature of a Male Voice Choir.
The Barrow Male Voice Choir, renowned and deeply rooted in Barrow's community, are no strangers to entertaining at local venues throughout the year.
They perform for their own funding, but mostly to support other local organisations and charities.
In April, the choir will also be showcasing their talent at various venues in the Isle of Man.
While the choir hopes to increase their ranks, there is no obligation to join.
Interested individuals may simply enjoy an evening of camaraderie through music.
Joining the choir requires no audition or previous experience, although commitment to training and rehearsals are expected.
The Taster Evening commences on January 15 at 7.30pm at the Nan Tait Centre on Abbey Road, Barrow. The event carries no charge, with entry to the rehearsal room accessible through the centre's car park.
No prior booking is necessary.
For queries, Choir Chairman Keith Newby can be contacted at 01229 472383.
Further details are available on the choir's website, which also hosts a promotional video, sponsored by BarrowFull, showcasing choir rehearsals and concerts.
