Legendary glam-rock band T-Rex will perform live at Ulverston’s Roxy cinema this December.
The band will be performing on December 10 at 7.30pm, playing a series of hits from the 70s.
Iconic tracks such as Love to Boogie, Get It On, Metal Guru, Ride A White Swan, and 20th Century Boy are set to feature in the line-up.
The band, formed by Marc Bolan in the late 1960s, has had eleven Top Ten hits and four number one tracks.
After Marc tragically passed in a car crash in 1977, T-Rex was re-established by Mickey Finn and now includes original member Paul Fenton, who played with the band from 1974.
Other members are lead vocalist Jay Spargo, guitarist Graham Oliver, Dave Major on keyboards, backing vocalist Linda Dawson, and bassist Tony Allday.
The night will commence with Patsy Gillam, a rising 19-year-old singer-songwriter from Ulverston.
“The Roxy is an ideal venue for an event of this sort,” said the Roxy’s proprietor Charles Morris. “Our stage is nearly the full width of the auditorium and the layout of the seats makes it almost ‘in the round’; I saw T-Rex perform not long ago; the atmosphere was terrific. I hope we will be able to arrange more events like this in future.”
Tickets are priced at £18 and are available on the cinema's website at www.nm-cinemas.co.uk.
