Security exercise to take place at BAE in Barrow
A SECURITY exercise is to take place at BAE this weekend.
On Saturday November 25, between 8am and 11.30am, the Ministry of Defence Police (MDP), Securitas and BAE Systems will conduct a security exercise on the BAE site.
The exercise will be fully contained within the site boundary at the Devonshire Dock Complex so there should be no interruption to the wider community.
During the exercise, MDP will use firearms with blank ammunition so some noise may be heard in the immediate vicinity.
Members of the public should not be alarmed and there is no need to take any action. There will also be a police presence in the area to assist with the exercise.
