A salon based in the village of Hawkshead was victorious at an industry awards night on Saturday.
The Beauty Rooms were named as a five-star salon for Cumbria at the English Beauty Industry Awards North West.
After being nominated by their clients, the business was up against ten other salons from around the county with the public eventually naming them as the best.
Katie Woods, from The Beauty Rooms, said: "We are absolutely delighted to announce that we've been named as the winners of this coveted award.
"We couldn't have achieved this without the support of our wonderful clients, friends and family."
The north west edition of the awards was hosted by Oceanic at the Mercure Hotel in Manchester, which also came with a three-course meal for all the hopefuls.
The night was a very prestigious event for those in the beauty industry with top salons being represented.
"This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team," Ms Woods added.
"We are so grateful for the opportunity and the recognition."
She went on to thank the 'stunning' setting of Hawkshead for helping them stand out, with the Lake District scenery ensuring they were a cut above the rest.
The awards aim to celebrate the exceptional contributions of individuals, salons, spas, and beauty brands that have left an undeniable mark on the industry.
A spokesperson for the northwest finals said: “We were overwhelmed by the calibre of entries we received this year.
"The passion and dedication displayed by the finalists are truly inspiring and reflect the vibrant and ever-evolving beauty scene in North West."
The Beauty Rooms triumphed over nine other Cumbrian businesses, though their nominations highlight the prospering industry in the county.
The finalists were: Velvet Beauty, Brockles Hair & Beauty Salon, Amethyst Beauty, Sophistiqué Beauty Specialists, Bowness Beauty, Bella Vita Health & Beauty, The Lotus Beauty Room, Cloud9 Beauty Rooms and Timeless Beauty & Aesthetics.
