TAKE a look through our photo gallery as Princess Anne visited Barrow this week.
The Princess Royal arrived at the dockside site of where the town’s first University of Cumbria campus is to be constructed, adjacent to BAE Systems’ Submarine Academy for Skills and Knowledge on Barrow Island around 11am on Wednesday (November 15).
She was pictured speaking with Sea Cadets before being given a tour of the workshop and learning about how the campus forms one of seven projects in the ambitious #BrilliantBarrow scheme.
Her Royal Highness Princess Anne was then guided across to the new University of Cumbria campus which is set to open next year where she shovelled some soil on the site and spoke to the University of Cumbria’s vice-chancellor professor Julie Mennell.
