RESIDENTS in south Cumbria have started putting up Halloween decorations to celebrate the spookiest time of the year.
The Mail asked their readers to share photos of the best Halloween-decorated houses and displays in town.
Halloween enthusiasts Chelsea Fisher and Heather Cameron, who live on Hart Street in Ulverston, have already put their decorations up as we approach the celebration.
The next-door neighbours with a love for Halloween have impressed town residents with their spooky house decorations.Chelsea said her children are the 'inspiration' to put so much effort into the decorations.
For Heather, her son's love for Halloween is what motivates her to work on the outdoor display.
Gill Cooper did a good job of turning her home in Barrow into a haunted house with frightening dolls and light displays.

Our reader Patrick Fairley said he has been decorating his house since 2015 as he 'always loved Halloween.'
He said: "Since I was young I always went trick-or-treating. I always loved Halloween since I was young. I have a love for horror movies and it is my favourite time of the year.
"I like to make up bags for trick or treating as well because I like the kids to have fun and a good time."
Our reader Jennie Hargreaves, sent a photo of the outside of her house with spooky skeletons and well-decorated pumpkins.
Lisa Millard's outside window with three skeletons and flying ghosts will be welcoming trick-or-treaters.
There are plenty of spine-chilling activities to do in south Cumbria this weekend.
The Soccer Bar on Wilkie Road, Barrow, will be hosting a kids fancy dress party on Sunday, 29 October.
From October 21-29 there will be plenty of Halloween activities at the Brockhole Centre, Windermere from 10am to 5pm.
In addition, the Windermere Jetty Museum will be offering arts and crafts sessions from 24-29 October.
