A pizza van that works throughout Cumbria and Lancashire made it to the finals of a national award.
North West Pizza was nominated for Pizzeria of the Year at the Italian Awards, which took place at the Queen’s Hotel in Leeds on October 8.
While the company was unsuccessful, owner Mark Lunn is up for pizza chef of the year at the PAPA awards in November.
Mr Lunn said: "Our customers nominated us for the awards so it's a testament to the hard work our team put in to even get through to the finals and I’m incredibly proud of what we've achieved.
"Whilst we started in 2019 it has always been a passion project until earlier this year when I made the switch to working full-time to push us forward."
He remains hopeful ahead of November, with his competition entry titled ‘Viva Espana’ ready to wow the judges.
