A NEW mum is re-opening her beauty treatment room after finishing her maternity leave.

Lauren Day, beauty manager at The Beauty Suite at Nuffield Health’s Fitness and Wellbeing Gym at Hollywood Park on Hindpool Road in Barrow, is taking treatment bookings again from October 12 (Thursday).

Following the birth of her first child, The Beauty Suite will be open every Thursday and Friday from 9am – 5pm.

“It’s been a life changing experience, but I’ve really enjoyed it,” Lauren said.

“I think I’ll be absolutely fine being a full-time mum and returning to work.

“It’s so bittersweet returning because I honestly love my job. I see my clients all the time in supermarkets and it’s nice to know that they can’t wait to have me back.

“I’m very excited and can’t wait to see everyone again.”

The Beauty Suite uses popular skincare brands such as Elemis and Jessica Cosmetics, and offers everything from massages, facials and waxing to tanning and nails.

Lauren plans on opening for an extra day from February 2024 when her son starts nursery but would consider opening on more days beforehand if she finds someone eligible for her currently vacant beauty therapist position.
