A DRIVER was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash on the A590.
The incident happened at Backbarrow at 9.14am on Sunday, October 1.
The collision was between a Kia and a VW Golf.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said the driver of the Golf was taken to hospital in Preston but 'according to information at the time these were not being treated as life-threatening or life-changing.'
The crash caused large delays on the A590. Cumbria Police said at the time that the road was blocked both ways between Backbarrow and Newby Bridge.
