A group is encouraging people in Cumbria to try fire walking to boost their self-confidence and mental health.
Lakeland Wellbeing is introducing the sessions as part of their wider schemes of self-improvement, which will take place at Fell Foot park.
The ancient practice has become a global phenomenon and is used as a team-building exercise or fundraising tool.
Jen Grange, fire walking instructor & director of Lakeland Wellbeing, said: "Fire walking has been the most empowering and transformative experience of my life, boosting my passion, my personal power & self-belief.
"Once you walk on fire, you feel like you can do anything."
Ms Grange explained how she and the larger group were dedicated to supporting individuals and businesses to develop skills and strategies to improve their own confidence & wellbeing.
"Deeply healing and transformational, fire walking inspires courage & inner strength to overcome your fears and achieve the impossible," she added.
"Imagine walking barefoot over fiery embers, feeling the radiant energy as it ignites your passion and spirit."
The group will be hosting both private sessions for corporate and charitable causes, along with public events to allow the people of Cumbria to experience the sensation for the first time.
"Many corporate groups seeking to foster camaraderie and create a sense of unity within their teams are turning to fire walking as a unique team-building activity," said Ms Grange.
"Fire walking requires trust, communication, and cooperation among team members, instilling valuable skills that can be transferred to the workplace."
The tradition has the means to ignite a level of excitement and captivation for spectators as well as participants.
Ms Grange explained: "Fire walking has also found a place in festivals adding excitement and a sense of adventure to community gatherings.
"Whether it's a music festival, a cultural celebration, or a local fair, fire walking workshops bring a unique and awe-inspiring element that captivates festival-goers."
