Tesco branches in Barrow are now official donations points for pet food which will go to Animal Welfare Furness.
The not-for-profit organisation aims to help, protect and re-home animals in the Furness area and relies on fundraising and donations.
Residents can now drop donations of pet foods at the Tesco Walney, Tesco Cornerhouse Park, Tesco Rawlinson Street and Tesco Roose.
Pet items that are needed are tinned cat food, pouched cat and kitten food, cat biscuits, dry dog food. Household items that are also washing powder, strong bin liners, kitchen roll, all-purpose anti-bacterial spray, bleach and hand sanitizer.
Tesco now joins other stores in the Furness region for donation points including Co-ops on Abbey Road, Roose Road and Ulverston as well as Booths Ulverston, original factory shop Ulverston and Yarlside stores.
